To recognize, appreciate and encourage individuals for their significant contributions to Odissi Dance, the Navratna PSU has instituted 'NALCO Kharavela Awards' to felicitate an Odissi Guru and an Odissi dancer every year, it said.
The award for Odissi Guru carries a cash prize of Rs one lakh, while for Odissi dancer, the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The aluminium major is presently seeking nominations for these awards, for which the last date of submission is December 28, the release added.
