Nalco Q2 net profit nearly doubles to Rs 235 cr

Aluminium maker Nalco today reported nearly two-fold rise in net profit at Rs 234.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
The firm had clocked a net profit of Rs 121.23 crore in the year-ago period, Nalco said in a regulatory filing with stock exchanges.
Total income rose to Rs 2,535.73 crore in July-September this fiscal from Rs 1,982.92 crore during the same period last year.
Total expenses saw an increase during the quarter to Rs 2,232 crore from Rs 1,810 crore in the same period a year ago.
