Narrow movements in gur prices in thin trade

Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices moving in a tight range on scattered activity, settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a steady trend in restricted activity.
Traders said small buying support and tight supplies mainly held prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,300-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,350-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,650.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,450-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
