Narrow movements in gur prices in thin trade
Press Trust of India New Delhi Quiet conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices moving in a tight range on scattered activity, settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a steady trend in restricted activity.
Traders said small buying support and tight supplies mainly held prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,300-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,350-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,650.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,450-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
