National Lok Adalat disposes 61,077 cases in Ghaziabad

The National Lok Adalat held in the district today disposed off 61,077 cases, whereas around Rs 17 crore was disbursed among various parties as settlement amount.
A total of 61,077 cases were disposed off in the National Lok Adalat, held in the district court premises here today. Rs 16,20,36,850 was disbursed as settlement amount, District Judge Ram Krishna Upadhayay said.
Upadhayay said that 36,876 cases of revenue department and 780 cases of bank loan recovery were settled today.An amount of Rs 8.7 crore was deposited by the borrowers.
He noted that 23,421 civil cases were settled by the Lok Adalat.

Giving further details, the judge added that 202 cases of matrimonial disputes and maintenance act as well as 54 cases of motor accidents were finalised. Succession certificates worth Rs 3.15 crore were released at the Lok Adalat.
