Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba today inaugurated the new Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic building at nearby Muvattupuzha.
The Polyclinic was earlier operating from a rented building, a defence release said.
The new building was constructed from the contributions from a trust formed by ex-servicemen of Muvattupuzha for the purpose besides, the Rs 1.55 crore allotted by the Navy.
The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) is on a two day visit to the Southern Naval Command (SNC) here.
The CNS would be presenting gallantry and non-gallantry awards announced by the President on the Republic Day this year, as well as unit citations to meritorious personnel and units of the Indian Navy during the Naval Investiture Ceremony-2018 scheduled here tomorrow.
