from Gollaguppa village in East Godavari district, police said today.
Mutchika Adamaiah alias Aduma was apprehended last night when he tried to run away from police during the combing operation on the border of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, East Godavari SP M. Ravi Prakash stated in a press release.
According to police, Aduma was working as a dalam member in Sabari Area Committee and had also allegedly participated in carrying out abduction of a local pastor's son.
He was allegedly part of a "standby" team during the attack on a CRPF camp in Marayigudem in 2010, the release added.
