"The company is intending to foray into new business venture of E-commerce," NBCC said in a regulatory filing.
The services which NBCC will render comprises sale of built-up properties of NBCC - real estate business, government departments, financial institutions and private developers, the company added.
"The sale of properties belonging to private developers shall be subject to its due diligence in respect of title of land, approval of drawings from statutory bodies, quality and cost of building and its financing etc," the filing added.
NBCC is a blue-chip Navratna enterprise under the Ministry of Urban Development, with consolidated revenue of Rs 5000 crore. The company is listed on both the stock exchanges and has an order book of more than Rs 20,000 crore.
The company mainly deals in three segments of project management consultancy (PMC), real estate development and EPC contracting.
The company has executed many projects as a PMC which contributes to about 70 per cent of its annual revenue.
The company has also executed various projects overseas in various countries including Turkey and Mauritius among others.
