NBF honours Bengaluru citizens for exemplary work

Four people who were instrumental in saving the lives of two Surya Kiran pilots who crashed while training for the Aero India show here in February were among those honoured by the Namma Bengaluru Foundation Saturday for their exemplary contribution.
Uday Kumar, Shiva Kumar, Chetan Kumar BM and Prajwal HKhad saved the lives of the pilots who ejected after the plane crashed but suffered serios injuries.
The Foundation felicitated unsung heroes with Namma Bengaluru Awards for their exemplary contribution to the city.
In its tenth edition, NBF, founded by BJP Rajya Sabha member Rajeev Chandrasekhar, recognised six Bengalureans in addition to a few other individuals.
Former Chief Justice of India Justice M N Venkatachaliahwas the chief guest for the event, which was themed- "Awakened, Aware, Active, Informed and Determined citizens can create change."
Ashok Kamath of Akshara Foundationwashonoured withthe "Namma Bengalurean of the Year."
