NDMC asks hospitals to ensure facilities for infants

The Municipal Commissioner of NDMC today inspected areas under the civic body's jurisdiction and laid special emphasis on ensuring equipments and medicines required for children's nursery at hospitals.
Praveen Gupta, Commissioner, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) visited Girdhar Lal Maternity Hospital and directed the hospital authority to ensure facilities of equipment and medicines required for children's nursery there.
The commissioner also directed officials to keep adequate stock of medicines at the hospital's Ayurvedic dispensary, so that patients do not have to face any hassle, the NDMC said in a statement.
Gupta also visited a municipal primary school located at Faiz Bazar in Daryaganj area and directed the school authorities that a new floor for the school be developed at the earliest.

He said that no laxity should be shown in providing the children with all necessary facilities.
He also inspected the dhalao (garbage dump) at Asaf Ali Road and said that area around it be cleaned regularly.
During the inspection, Gupta was accompanied by other senior officials of other departments.
