The North Delhi Municipal Corporation is planning to open food kiosks in JJ cluster areas that would offer economy meals to the masses.
A senior leader of the BJP-led civic body said that the party had put up this proposal in its election manifesto in Delhi.
"We want to open economy food kiosks in different clusters that would offer basic meals at around Rs 15. The items could be daal-chaal, kadi-chawal, chhole-kulche," chairman of the NDMC's Standing Committee Tilak Raj Kataria said.
He said these facilities would be called -- Deen Dayal Kiosks -- after Hindutva icon Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
