Sanitation workers of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation today called off their strike after the NDMC agreed to meet "most of their demands", officials said.

They were on strike since March 20, the NDMC said.

North Delhi Mayor Preety Agarwal said, "We are very sensitive towards the demands of the staff, specially sanitation workers, as we want to keep them happy and healthy so that they can deliver the best results to achieve the targets of the 'Swachh Bharat Mission'."
