"This is the right time to strengthen Congress from the base. Unless the party strengthens, AAP will spread its tentacles to other states to fill the anti-BJP vacuum," AICC SC-ST cell convener K Raju said while addressing the party's two-day meeting which began here today.
Raju asked the Congress leaders to go to the masses, particularly in the urban areas, to reconstruct the party.
Terming the AAP's victory in Delhi as "concerning", he said, "Congress leaders will have to work to reach out to the labourers in unorganised sector, domestic workers, youth and intellectuals to strengthen the party."
