Nepalese national arrested on drug charges

A Nepalese national was arrested after narcotics worth Rs 50 lakh were found in his possession by Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel at the Indo-Nepal border here, a senior official said today.
The accused, identified as 20-year-old Janak Dhatri, was travelling to India from Nepal.
He was arrested last evening from Sonauli area during a routine check with 5 kgs of Charas worth Rs 50 lakh, SSB Deputy Commandant Manish Kumar said.
The accused has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, Kumar added.
