Pakistani actor Fawad Khan today said that he never faced any issues working in India and the groups that work against Pakistan should be ignored.
Khan was attending a tree plantation event at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) and Research Centre.
Talking about the growing cases of religious intolerance and the mood against Pakistanis in India, Fawad said one should ignore the groups that work against Pakistan.
"I have never faced any issues working in India. The groups that work against Pakistan should be ignored because there are similar groups present in Pakistan too. We as artists should ignore such groups and concentrate on our work," he said.
The Shiv Sena has in recent weeks targeted Pakistani artists and have said they will not allow artists from Pakistan to work in India.
The party forced popular Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali to cancel his concerts in different parts of India last month.
The group has also said it would not allow Fawad and Mahira Khan to promote their upcoming films in Maharashtra.
While Fawad has completed shooting for Kapoor and Sons, Mahira will be making her much anticipted Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.
The Pakistani star who made waves with his first Bollywood film Khubsoorat said he would love to invite Khan to visit the latter's native city Peshawar.
"Peshawar is very beautiful and peaceful, and I will invite Shahrukh Khan to visit his native city," he said.
