New Mumbai varsity VC calls on Maharashtra Governor

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai Sanjay Deshmukh today called on the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of University Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan, here today.
"This was a courtesy visit," a Raj Bhavan official said.
Deshmukh, a professor of Life Sciences in Mumbai University, was appointed as VC on June 20 for a period of five years.
He succeeds Rajan Welukar, who demitted office yesterday.
