NHRC has sought a response within two weeks from the secretary of KPSC and the Kerala government chief secretary on reports that handicap candidates were asked to physically go to the second floor of the Teacher Training Institute in Thiruvananthapuram district in order to write the test.
In a statement here, NHRC observed that it has issued guidelines in respect of physically-handicapped persons and the contents of the media report, if true, raise a serious question of violation of their rights.
NHRC has asked the KPSC secretary and the Kerala chief secretary to identify the persons responsible for the alleged violation and inform it about the action taken against them.
