Traders said besides subdued demand from consuming industries, the anticipation that China, the world's biggest consumer of industrial metals, may report a slowdown in export growth, dampened sentiment.
Meanwhile, nickel slid 0.7 per cent to USD 15,400 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) and copper mixed scrap ended lower by Rs 2 each to Rs 1,082-1,088 and Rs 429 per kg, respectively.
