Nickel and tin prices slipped in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist selling amidst lower demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, select copper, brass and aluminium edged up on a better offtake from industrial users.
The industrial metals were trading slightly up at the London Metal Exchange (LME), underpinned by technical buying helped by Cyprus's bailout terms.
Nickel dropped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,050 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,060.
Tin declined by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,425 from Rs 1,430, copper utensils scrap edged-down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 445 from Rs 447 and copper armiture softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 470.
However, Brass sheet cutting edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 336 from Rs 334.
Copper sheet cutting and aluminium utensils scrap inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 466 and Rs 114 respectively.
