Nickel turns weak on global cues

Nickel prices fell by Rs 4 per quintal on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on fall in demand from consuming industries at prevailing higher levels amid a weak global trend.
Traders said sentiment in nickel turned bearish after it fell in global markets as a technical indicator signalled to
some investors that the gains were excessive.
Meanwhile,nickel for delivery in three months retreated 0.4 per cent to 18,270 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) fell by Rs 4 to Rs 1,070-1,071 per kg.
The following were today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 119-125, nickel plate (4x4) 1,070-1,071 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 432, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 126, lead imported 124, aluminium ingots 148,Aluminium sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148.
