Mill, 28, real name Robert Williams, will spend 90 days under house arrest, where he will not be able to work on his music and can only leave his house to do community service work for organisations with adults.
He will also wear an ankle monitoring bracelet during that time.
Mill's legal problems began in 2008 when he was convicted for drug possession and carrying a gun without a license. He served eight months in prison and then began a five year probation term in 2009.
In December 2015 he was accused of violating his parole by ignoring travel rules and submitting a "suspicious urine sample".
