The accused identified as Frankin Eggburi Chiney was arrested yesterday during a checking on Phagwara-Gandhwan road. Twenty grams of heroin and 100 grams of drug powder were recovered from his possession, Station House Officer of Satnampura police station Ramandeep Singh said.
Franklin was residing in Rama Mandi area of Jalandhar Cantt, he said.
A case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against him, the SHO said.
