Paul Osani was arrested by airport police yesterday when he was to take a flight to Doha as authorities found that he had submitted fake documents for travel besides overstaying.
He was produced before a court which remanded him to judicial custody, police said.
Probe revealed that he had arrived in Delhi in 2013 on a three-month visa for taking medical treatment.
He had allegedly prepared fake documents with the help of another Delhi-based Nigerian woman.
