Alva, who will be sworn-in as the Governor of Rajasthan on May 12, said she has finalised the shelters which will come up here and is being funded by ONGC and the state government.
Among other projects, a cultural centre on the lines of India International Centre (IIC) at New Delhi would be developed in Dehradun with funds from the 13th finance commission, she said.
"This is my dream project. We have approved a plan for this centre which will have a Doon library, an auditorium and big rooms for cultural activities," she said.
During the informal chat, the 70-year-old also spoke of the restoration work on the Nainital Raj Bhawan, which has been sanctioned under JNNURM at a cost of Rs 11.5 crore.
She was leaving with high hopes after her three year tenure in Uttarakhand, Alva said.
