Nimbuzz offers 100 mins intl calling on LG smartphone purchase

Mobile messaging service Nimbuzz has partnered Korean handset maker LG to offer 100 minutes of free international calls to the US on the purchase of the latter's L-Series III smartphones.
The series comes preloaded with Nimbuzz and will provide customers with 100 minutes of free international calls to any number in the United States of America, Nimbuzz said in a statement.
The Nimbuzz app allows users to make calls, video calls as well as send free instant messages and has social networking features as well.
It claims to have over 150 million users globally and is adding over 2.10 lakh new registrations each day. It has a user footprint of more than 200 countries.

"Voice calling is fast changing into an Internet based service from being a telecom one. We are extremely excited about our partnership with LG," Nimbuzz CEO Vikas Saxena said.
LG's commitment to re-inventing smartphone technologies coupled with Nimbuzz's scaled international calling platform will ensure that users find immense value from the offer, he added.
"The growing popularity of affordable smartphones from industry players like LG and the increasing adoption of WiFi/3G networks will only accelerate this technological shift," LG Mobiles Marketing Head India Amit Gujral said.
