Niranjan Thomas Alva, the husband of former Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva, died today at a hospital in Bengaluru, where he was admitted following a chest infection.
Alva, 78, died at 10.33 am, his family told PTI.
He was admitted to the Ramaiah Hospital following chest congestion and had been in the ICU for 20 days, a family member said.
The cremation would be held tomorrow in Bengaluru.
Alva, a Supreme Court lawyer, was the son of the first parliamentarian couple, Joachim Alva and Violet Alva.
