Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel among Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Bands Nirvana and Kiss as well as singer Peter Gabriel are all going to be inducted to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2014.
In order to be eligible for induction, artists need to have released their first single or album 25 years ago, reported Rolling Stone.
Nirvana, whose first single 'Love Buzz' arrived in 1988, was accepted in its first year of eligibility and the band's surviving members will receive the award 20 years after frontman Kurt Cobain committed suicide.
The American rock band Kiss had been eligible for the last 15 years but they have only been nominated once before.

Gabriel was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010.
The three rockers join other artists which include Hall & Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt in the performers category.
The April 10 ceremony will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. It will be open to the public and the tickets go on sale next January.
