Niti Ayog is going to be a think tank based on the ideology of RSS, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi alleged today.
"The Niti Ayog has been filled with ministers and pro-BJP individuals. It is going to be a think tank based on the ideology of RSS," Gogoi tweeted today.
He had earlier said the renaming of the Planning Commission as Niti Ayog was an attempt to belittle the contribution of Jawaharlal Nehru, the architect of modern India.
People are "not concerned with the name, but with the substance and just changing the name of the Planning Commission was just a cheap gimmick," Gogoi had tweeted earlier following the replacement of Planning Commission with Niti Aayog or National Institution for Transforming India.
The BJP-led government at the Centre had replaced the Planning Commission by Niti Ayog to serve as a policy think-tank for central as well as state governments and will have Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its chairperson.
