During a visit to the district, Kumar visited Chandradhari Museum and Maharajadhiraj Lakshmishwar Singh museum.
Kumar instructed Prasad for holding consultations with specialists for upkeep of artifacts and manuscripts in the museums in a scientific manner, an official release said.
He inaugurated the recently renovated Chandradhari Museum and planted a sapling at the museum premises.
He also dedicated two picture galleries to the people.
Kumar visited the traditional Madhubani, Mithila, Patna Kalam, Rajasthani and Pahari paintings displayed in the museum, the release said.
Later, talking to media persons, the chief minister said, "I have been hearing a lot about these two museums. Today, I got an opportunity to actually see these and think of ways and means for their improvement".
