Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed concern over growing acrimony in public life not only in the country, but also abroad.
"Such a situation is emerging not only in Bihar and India, but across the world," Kumar said after inaugurating the three-day 2542nd Nirvana Mahotsav of Lord Mahavira at Pawapuri in Nalanda district.
"See the Presidential elections in America and how they are opposing each other," he said.
About himself, he said "I pray to Lord Mahavira, Lord Buddha and Guru Nanak Saheb that never ever my tongue slip so that others are hurt."
Kumar said though the Jain community population was small, yet they control 35-40 per cent of the nation's wealth.
Referring to the trap of officers in Jaynagar in a corruption case, the CM said corrupt officials would not be spared in any circumstance.
"I do not know why they indulge in such corrupt practises... There is no hole in Kafan (shroud) so that they could carry wealth to the other world," he said.
Rural Development minister Shrawan Kumar and Nalanda MP Kaushlendra Kumar were present on the occasion among others.
