NLC India Q1 net profit declines to Rs 231 crore

NLC India Ltd today posted a 37.1 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 230.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016, largely due to higher expenses.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 366.90 crore in the year-ago period, NLC India Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
The total income of the company increased to Rs 1,974.10 crore, from Rs 1,965.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The total expenses of the company increased to Rs 1,621.22 crore, from Rs 1,415.81 crore in the year-ago period.
