NMC appeals CM to release 10 pc DA

National Mazdoor Conference today appealed to Jammu and Kashmir government to release pending instalment of 10 per cent dearness allowance due from January in favour of employees and pensioners.
"There is a need for immediate release of pending instalment of 10 per cent DA due from January and fourth instalment of the 6th pay commission arrears," NMC president Subash Shastri said while addressing workers rally here.
Shastri also urged to enhance the medical allowance to Rs 1,000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners.
"We appeal to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to announce these incentives in favour of its employees and pensioners in the next cabinet meeting so that salaried class and pensioners get relief in view of increasing prices of essential commodities and inflation", he said.

On the continuance of pay anomalies of clerical cadre of the state government, Shastri also urged Omar for immediately addressing most genuine demand of the affected employees.
