"We appeal to the Chief Minister to regularise all daily wagers working in various departments of the state. Omar should announce this in the next cabinet meeting," NMC president Subash Shastri said while addressing workers meeting here.
He also demanded immediate release of pending instalment of 10 per cent dearness allowance (DA) due from January last, 4th instalment of the 6th pay commission arrears and enhancing the medical allowance to Rs one thousand per month.
The clerical cadre being the pillar of the administrative sector needs to be encouraged by way of removing pay anomalies which have been persisting since long, he added.
Other demands of the NMC included reorganisation of the floriculture department, grant of 20 per cent interim relief in favour of central and state government employees and pensioners and enhancement in the wages of daily wagers to Rs 10,000 per month.
