No employee be kept for more than 3 years in same post: Joshi

Punjab local government minister Anil Joshi today said no official in the local bodies department would be posted for more than three years in the same position to provide a corruption free and transparent administration.
While reviewing the working of his department, he further issued instructions that all development works above Rs 2 lakh would be allotted through e-tendering process.
Testing of all works has been made mandatory and a Quality Control Compendium has been issued to all ULBs in the state to ensure works as per laid out specifications, he said.
In view of the increased urbanisation, 50 new posts of Building Inspectors have bee sanctioned, he said.

As many as 53 new posts of Sanitary Supervisor/Inspectors have been sanctioned for Jalandhar alone, he added.
