'No expenditure sanction exceeding Rs 20 Lakh, depts told

The Puducherry government has instructed all departments not to issue expenditure sanction exceeding Rs 20 lakh under plan and non plan heads till the end of the 2017-18 fiscal due to the tight financial position.
This was stated in a release from the Finance Department here today.
It said that in view of the tight financial position and to regulate expenditure as per availability of cash flow, all Secretariat and non Secretariat departments and all Heads of Departments are directed not to issue expenditure sanction exceeding Rs 20 lakh both under plan and non plan categories till the end of the 2017-18 fiscal without the concurrence of the Finance Department.
