A senior West Bengal BJP leader Tathagata Roy said today that the resignation of L K Advani from BJP Parliamentary Board, Election Committee and National Executive was sad, but an individual was not above the party.
"I am sorry to hear the news of the resignation of Advani. This was a jolt to the party rank and file. But I do not think this is a jolt to the party or that the party will sink. No individual is above the party," Roy, a front-ranking leader of the party and former state chief said.
State BJP secretary and spokesman Ritesh Tiwari told PTI, "This is completely a central party affair and we do not have a right to comment on it.
