Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today dismissed Narendra Modi wave in the country in the wake of BJP doing well in Assembly elections held in Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
"There is no Modi wave (in India). In fact there is no connection between Modi and states gone in for Assembly polls. Problems related to states are different from those haunting the nation," he told reporters on the sidelines of an interactive event held by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) here.
The poll results in these three states would not have any impact over the prospects of Congress party in the state when it goes for Lok Sabha elections next year, Siddaramaiah stated.
He said there are ups and downs in politics and it is time for Congress to set right the wrongs committed.
"The people have given the verdict and we have to accept it," Siddaramaiah said.
Earlier addressing FKCCI members, Siddaramaiah said his government was for the development of industry and committed to providing facilities.
"Siddaramaiah is 100 per cent not against the development of industry in Karnataka. I am with industry and will be with it," he added.
On energy front, Siddaramaiah said Karnataka plans to achieve the target of producing 4,000 MW.
He also said government is considering reducing Value Added Tax in the state.
