The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) said that licensing system of PESO has been integrated with e-nivesh monitor portal, and pending cases beyond the timeline of 30 days are being periodically monitored by the Project Monitoring Group under the Prime Minister's Office to ensure there is no inordinate in disposal of applications submitted by PESO under various rules.
As a follow-up of the review undertaken by the group and the DIPP in July, PESO has developed various monitoring and follow-up mechanism to ensure that each online and manual receipt submitted to various offices are disposed of within the time-frame.
The PESO is a nodal agency, under the DIPP, for regulating safety of hazardous substances such as explosives, compressed gases and petroleum.
