Mercury further rose in western districts of Rajasthan including Jaisalmer, Barmer, Churu and Bikaner districts by one to two degree Celsius with dry weather conditions prevailing across the districts, the MeT officials said.
Srigangangar was scorching at 48 degree C, about 6 degree C above normal, followed by Bikaner 47.6 and Barmer 47 degree C, they said.
As compared to yesterday, mercury dipped by 0.4 degree C in Jaipur which recorded a maximum temperature of 45.9 degree Celsius.
In other areas across the state, the maximum temperature was recorded between 44.4 and 46.4 degree C including Jodhpur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, and Bharatpur districts.
No major change in existing heat wave conditions is expected during the weekend, a forecast said.
