Vijay Prakash late last night locked his wife and children in a room and then hanged himself using a stole in another room, sector 20 police station in-charge Anil Sahi said.
His wife said she informed her brother, who then reached her home. With the help of neighbours, they broke open the door and found Prakash hanging, he said, adding after which Prakash's family members informed police.
The body has been sent for postmortem, the officer, said, adding efforts are on to ascertain the reason behind Prakash's extreme step.
