Noida traffic police collects record Rs 2.38 lakh fine

Noida Police today collected a record Rs 2.38 lakh fine from 2,193 traffic rules violators, a senior officer said.
According to Rajiv Narain Mishra, SP traffic, Noida," 85 vehicles were fined for red light jump, 36 for wrong lane driving, 545 for not wearing helmets, 25 no parking cases, 34 faulty number plates, 22 triple riding, 18 without licence, 60 without pollution, 5 for black films, 2 hooters and 805 other violations."
Besides these, 11 vehicles were fined for violating no entry order, he said.
November is being observed as traffic month and the department has launched awareness and enforcement drives.
