Normal life was partially affected today in Malda town following a dawn-to-dusk bandh called by the CPI(M) to protest against alleged police action on their activists for the coming civic polls.
Shops and business establishments as well as some state government offices remained closed due to the bandh call from six am to six pm, police said.
While private vehicles were off the road, government vehicles were partially off the road.
No untoward incident was reported from any parts of Malda district.
