"I am not resigning from my ministerial post. The chief minister has spoken to me and assured that he would look into the matter which I had raised in my letter to him," he told reporters at his residence here.
Ambareesh has expressed displeasure over the appointment process of the director of Apex Bank despite the chief minister's assurance that he would be consulted before any decision was taken in the matter.
"You (Siddaramaiah) had assured me through Cooperation Minister that I will be consulted during the process of appointment of director to the Apex Bank. However, I have been ignored again. I am hurt that you too are party to the development. Through this letter, I am expressing my displeasure before you," he had said.
The minister also said he had been sidelined during appointments to boards and corporations in Mandya district.
Meanwhile, many Congress legislators castigated Ambareesh for picking a "silly" matter with the chief minister when he had no role in the selection of the bank's director.
