BJP today said it has "nothing to worry" about the snoopgate investigations that government now proposes to get it probed by a serving judge and sought to question the Nehru and Gandhi family for carrying out snooping in the past.
"The entire conspiracy by two brothers - an IAS and an IPS officer from Gujarat cadre, and how they had misconducted their business and how they are corrupt.
"How a young woman was chased all that will come forward. There is nothing to worry about it. Only thing is that thing has to happen at the same time. It is only a question of time," BJP Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said referring to the probe by a sitting judge in snooping case.
She said, "So far as snooping goes, I can only go back and remind the Nehru family that snooping happened when Maneka Gandhi was being tracked by her Mother-in-law and the IB was used to do that."
Lekhi said Maneka's mother, who ran a magazine, was also snooped as well as the Editorial Board members of the publication.
She also charged Rajiv Gandi of snooping on Giani Zail Singh after which Singh started meeting people in his lawns.
"Rajiv Gandhi himself was a victim of snooping when the then Cabinet Secretary recorded their conversation," she said.
"All this are all documented facts," she said.
