Notorious criminal arrested in Gurgaon

Gurgaon police arrested Mahesh alias Attack, allegedly involved in several crimes including murder and extortion, along with his five colleagues, while gambling at Sector 31.
Mahesh, Anuj, Jitender, Rajan Yadav and Deepak Yadav were arrested last night while gambling and Rs 1,23,600 which was at stake was recovered, Jaswant Singh, investigating officer of the case said.
However, all six were granted bail by Judicial Magistrate Sandeep Yadav this afternoon as their counsel argued that the section of Gambling Act under which they were arrested was a bailable offence.
Mahesh was allegedly involved in 18 crimes, including murder, attempt to murder, extortion, dacoity, forgery, cheating.

As per police record, out of the 18 cases, Mahesh had been acquitted in 11 cases, and five cases are still under trial while in two cases he has been convicted.
His arrest last night was considered a big catch by the police department, but his bail proved to be a setback to the police.
