NPCC members, along with Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC) office-bearers, proceeded from Congress Bhavan, Dimapur till Dimapur Deputy Commissioner's office complex.
The supporters, led by NPCC President K Therie and DCC Dimapur President Kughato S Aye, also submitted a memorandum to Additional Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, which was addressed to the President of India through the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.
The NPCC termed the action of NDA government as 'unlawful' and demanded that an advisory note be issued to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a direction to behave in accordance to the decorum of the Constitution.
