The deceased Manpreet Singh Ghuman (27) died after he was shot by an unidentified person while working at a gas station in the US on August 6, family sources said, adding, that a customer later had found him lying in a pool of blood.
Ghuman, the son of an agruculturist Surinder Singh, had migrated to the US two years ago and was working as a clerk at a petrol pump in the South Lake Tahoe City in El Dorado County in California.
He said the Lake Tahoe Secret Witness Programme had offered a USD 1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
