A joint team from Assam Police and Assam Rifles arrested the cadre from a jungle under Haflong police station yesterday, they said.
Some arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
The arrested person was involved in kidnapping and has confessed about his involvement in other anti-social incidents in the district, the police said.
