NSCN militant arrested

A militant belonging to the NSCN was apprehended by security forces in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Kohima-based defence spokesman Colonel Chiranjit Konwer said he was arrested by the Longding Battalion of Assam Rifles from Zedua Village yesterday.

The Longding Battalion, under the aegis of Dao Division of the Army, has been carrying out operations in south Arunachal Pradesh to keep the area peaceful, Konwer said in a statement.
