The move is a part of the exchange's efforts to provide the members with a robust and an efficient system for trading with better features.
The exchange would be conducting a mock-trading session to test the system performance in the capital market, currency derivatives and Futures & Options (F&O) segments on April 2, 2016, NSE said in separate circulars.
In currency derivatives segment, the mock trading would be between 1000 hrs and 1530 hrs.
In case of capital market and futures and options segment, mock trading would start at 1015 hrs and would continue till 1530 hrs.
Trading through older version will be discontinued with effect from April 2.
