A National Security Guard (NSG) commando from Maharashtra was killed in a road accident at the NSG centre at Manesar in Haryana Thursday, officials said.

An army official told PTI that Gopinath Ramchandra Borgad, 28, was killed as his motorcycle skidded and dashed against a tree in the afternoon.

He fell into a nullah and succumbed to serious head injuries.

Borgad, native of Telgaon-Aral in Hingoli district, was married last year.

Borgad's body will be flown to Aurangabad around 8 pm Friday and will be taken early Saturday by road to his native place for last rites, the official said.
